Scouting for Food was a great success!! We collected 650 items for PACS- Pack 73 total. With the help of several Phoenixville area Troops and Packs we donated even more. Thanks to the community, the packs and troops and family who helped pull this Coalition together. And thank you Mayor Pete for leading a hand.

Troop 73 and Troop 158 hosted a Mega campfire for the Cubs scouts with skits and songs.

The campfire is planned to start on Saturday October 9th at 7:00 pm at the Fire circle behind the Valley Forge Fire Company’s main station, on Valley Park Road.
Drive up the hill from the lower parking lot (there should be a sign for “The Grove”, and park in the field at the base of the hill. From there, you can walk either up and over the hill or along the gravel road through the wooded lane to the left of the hill – both will get you to the campfire circle.
Cub Scouts, please be there and be prepared to be entertained! We will have some hot chocolate available.
After the songs and skits portion of the campfire, we are planning a flag retirement ceremony. We encourage the Webelos and Arrow of Light Cub Scouts to stay for it, but do recognize that it is probably beyond the attention span and/or bedtimes of the younger cubs, so there will be an opportunity for discreet departures.
A Signup Genius has gone out for the Spookoree at Camp Ware. The Spookoree will be on November 6-7th starting at 9:00am.
This is an overnight camping trip to Camp Ware, bring your own tent. (if you need camping supplies, let the Pack Committee know)

What is the Spookoree?
During the daytime…
Ride our BMX track, sluice for pirate treasure, visit our rubber band shooting range,
bring your gear and go fishing on the creek, play a round of disc golf, go on a treasure hunt hike,
and participate in craft and science projects.
When the sun goes down…
The fun continues with glow golf, glow fishing, and a sleepover!
Adults:
Flush toilets, air-conditioned bathrooms, wifi, food prepared and served to your scouts, 10+ hours of
program handled by our volunteers… a good example of what the Camp Ware Summer Program offers!
