Last night was our first in-person Pack Meeting this year with an Ice Cream Social and a Water Bottle Launch. Thank you to Troop 73 for helping us with this event. 
Den meetings will resume on September 23rd since the school is closed next week.

Howdy Cub Scout Families,
Can you believe it’s already September? I hope everyone is settling into their back to school routine and is ready to kickoff a new year of Cub Scouting!
Here are our Pack events in September.
SEPTEMBER 9th: 7:00pm PACK MEETING/ICE CREAM SOCIAL: We are back at the Schuylkill Cafeteria and kick starting things with an Ice Cream Social. We will also have an award ceremony and launch water bottle rockets. (bring an empty 2l bottle if you have one) Be sure to wear your uniform to the meeting and we strongly encourage you to wear your uniform to school that day to help let everyone know about our Pack.
SEPTEMBER 16th: SCHOOL CLOSED NO MEETINGS
SEPTEMBER 18th: 10:00am-2:00pm PARC OPEN HOUSE: At the Oscar Lasko Program Activity Resource Campus, 1 Scouting Way, Exton, PA. Ribbon cutting, tours, Raingutter Regatta, Pinewood Derby Track, Monkey Bridge, food trucks, Bugle Corps, and fun activities for all ages!
SEPTEMBER 23rd: 7:00pm at Schuylkill Elementary, DEN MEETINGS RESUME
SEPTEMBER 30th: 7:00pm at Schuylkill Elementary, DEN MEETINGS
Please remember to bring and wear a mask while we are on school property.
To kickoff the school year and to start another super fun year of Cub Scouts, Pack 73 will be hosting an Ice Cream Social. We want to invite all kids who are interested in joining to come have fun, learn about Cub Scouts, watch a Pack Meeting and of course eat some Ice Cream. We hope to launch some water bottle rockets too!
So when and where will this fun event be?
WHERE: Schuylkill Elementary Cafeteria
WHEN: Thursday September 9th at 7:00pm
WHO: Any girl or boy interested in Cub Scouts between the ages of 5 and 10.

VALLEY FORGE HIKE:August 8th, 1:00pm
This Sunday we will be doing a short hike along the Chapel Trail in Valley Forge. We will meet at Varnum’s Picnic Area Parking Lot (across the street from the Steuben Statue) at 1:00. Remember your six essentials! If planning to attend, please RSVP to the Cubmaster (ohnocomix@gmail.com or text to 610-306-1132) by Saturday so he knows who’ll be there.
BIKE RODEO: August 21, 2:00-6:00pm
The Chester County Council will be hosting a Bike Rodeo at the Valley Creek Corporate Center, 220 Valley Creek Blvd, Exton, PA. More info and to register can be found here: https://www.cccbsa.org/event/bike-rodeo/
PACK 73 POOL PARTY: August 22, 2:00-4:00pm
To celebrate summer and kick off the upcoming school year we’re having a pack pool party. Bring the whole family! Also your friends who may be interested in cub scouts. There will be snacks and refreshments. We’ll also be planning events for the cub scout year such as camping trips, overnighters to places like Battleship NJ or Franklin Institute, biking, hiking, and more! Join the discussion. Hi everyone! We have two fun events planned for July.
BIKE HIKE (July 11) First up we have a Bike Hike. Come for a fun bike ride along the Schuylkill River starting from Upper Schuylkill Valley Park to Lock 60 and back. It will be about three miles round trip. Be sure to bring a bike, helmet, sunscreen, a snack and water. RSVP to the Cubmaster (ohnocomix@gmail.com or text to 610-306-1132) by Friday July 9th so he knows who to expect. We will meet at 1:00pm at the lower parking lot (near the fishing dock) at Upper Schuylkill Valley Park.
ROCKET LAUNCH (July 26) Next up the Council will be hosting a Rocket Launch at East Brandywine Park in Downingtown on July 26th from 6:00 to 8:00pm. For more information and to register visit: https://www.cccbsa.org/event/rocket-launch/

Congrats to two of Pack 73’s Arrow of Light Cub Scouts who crossed the bridge into BSA Troop 73! What an accomplishment! Thank you to Valley Forge Troop 73 for honoring them during their Court of Honor Ceremony last night.
